Latinum is back in shape again

Hello All,

You had to bear with me while I was rather pre-occupied with a totally new project. You cannot not but have noticed.

As this new work arose organically out of the work I do at Latinum, it was natural for me to record it here. But it got a bit out of hand, let us say. Totally out of hand……

I suspect some of you mused that I was going totally insane, but no such luck I am afraid. I remain emphatically as mad as I ever was, no more and no less.

Now everything with this new project - one of brain shattering dimensions - has reached a point of developmental maturity.

I have removed most of the new non-language materials off the substack, and the indices that referred to these are no longer active. I will continue to tidy up the Latinum substack for you.

A large bonus from this new work is that I now have an excellent methodology for making lessons in languages with small corpora, which current LLMs struggle with.

This methodology, which is new and only exists here at Latinum, arose from my work with Ugaritic and Elvish.

Cicero will keep writing Latin, and Elendil will continue producing Elvish here at Latinum, as this is language realted work.

Latin lessons will continue to be made, and other ancient and endangered languages will be added in time.

All the physics and other topics are now moved over to my pre-existing suite of ancient and dormant blogs (some as old as 2010), which I have repurposed.

You can find these linked in the index if you are curious. Most are still unpopulated with new content.

Thank you for bearing with me while I was totally pre-occupied…..more than pre-occupied…let us say totally immersed in this new project. My head is now poking up above the parapets again.
