मराठी भाषकांसाठी "an" चा वापर समजून घेण्यासाठी महत्त्वाचे मुद्दे:
"An" हा इंग्रजीतील अनिश्चित लेख (Indefinite Article) आहे. मराठीत याचा अर्थ "एक" असा होतो.
"An" चा वापर केव्हा करावा:
स्वरांनी (a, e, i, o, u) सुरू होणाऱ्या शब्दांपूर्वी उदा: an elephant, an orange, an umbrella
मराठीत "एक" हा शब्द नेहमीच वापरला जातो का?
नाही, मराठीत बऱ्याचदा "एक" गाळला जातो
इंग्रजीत मात्र "a" किंवा "an" वापरणे आवश्यक आहे
